SENSUALISE is a name that’s soaring through the ranks of Australia’s thriving dance music scene. Having his own productions supported by major international artists including W&W, Ben Nicky, MaRLo, Judge Jules, Mark Sixma and Paul Webster it’s not surprising that his career as an international DJ is taking off!

In 2014, Sensualise received his first signing to the world’s largest trance & progressive label Armada, for his track ‘Helix Nebula’ that was featured on MaRLo’s compilation album ‘Visions’. Sensualise also entered and won the remix competition for ‘The Witch’ by John Askew. The remix was released mid 2014 on Discover Dark.

Sensualise’s production work complements his DJing well, with his sets often featuring many of his own edits, mashups, remixes or original tracks, giving his sets his own distinct sound. Not only that, but his track selection, ability to read the crowd and creative mixing has resulted in him quickly gaining a strong following both in Melbourne and across the globe.

Sensualise has worked his way through the ranks onto some of the biggest dance party lineups in Australia. It was recently announced that he will play on the legendary Godskitchen tour which is certain to be one of the biggest events to hit Australia’s shores this year.

In 2014, Sensualise played for the second year in a row at Australia’s largest annual dance music festival Stereosonic, this time on the “Full On Ferry” stage hosted by trance pioneer Ferry Corsten. Other big brands that he has played for include Ministry of Sound’s: Trance Nation, Pure Trance and the Mysterious World festival in Malaysia.

As well as the big shows, Sensualise plays regularly in Melbourne and holds residency at Sanctuary Saturdays, the current weekly home of trance in Melbourne. Due to his consistency behind the decks, he is often trusted with playing peak time supporting sets for international super stars including: Jordan Suckley, Giuseppe Ottaviani, Myon & Shane54, Christopher Lawrence, Kyau & Albert, Super8 & Tab, Ben Nicky, The Thrillseekers, ReOrder, Darren Porter, Manuel Le Saux, Arty, Mat Zo, Khomha, Daniel Kandi, Beat Service, Estiva, Will Holland, Lange, Protoculture, Sneijder, Max Graham, Allen & Envy, Dash Berlin, David Gravell, Tenishia, Andy Duguid, Aly & Fila, Fisherman & Hawkins, Eddie Bitar, Mark Sherry, RAM, Gareth Emery, Coming Soon and Chris Schweizer to name a few.

Scot Project is the legendary genius behind some of the biggest anthems in trance in the 90’s and early 00’s. He has taken a journey around the globe for over a decade, performing at every major night club and festival on the planet and regular appearances at landmark shows like Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC), DanceValley, Sensation, Defqon, Trance Energy, Tomorrowland, Global Gathering, Love Parade, Street Parade and many more.

In 2010, Scot Project received a genre Beatport Artist Award, and has had the honour of being supported by many legends in the EDM world such as Tiesto, Ferry Corsten, Paul Van Dyk, Armin Van Buuren, Paul Oakenfold, Judge Jules, Yoji Biomehanika and many more.

His discography of over 250 productions and remixes includes massive tracks such as ‘G – Ghost’, ‘T – Techem’ ‘FM –Feeling Me’ and His Album ‘A1’. Under his other aliases ‘Arome’, ‘Tocs’ and his latest project ‘Supermusique!’, he has released chart topping remixes and tracks such as ‘Arome – Hands Up’, ‘TOCS 2’, ‘Do You Want me’ and ‘Stop this Feeling’.

In the past year, “twelve X” (together with A.S.Y.S) , the NO. 1 chart success “W(whooo!)” EP and “P(paradise), showed a new direction for the old master. Also the “C” EP was the top track on Simon Patterson’s “Night Vision” imprint on Spinnin in 2012. The last year was definitely the return for the man who was there at the start of it all.

2013 will see Scot Project continue his venture into a territory he has been building towards for the past several years. Scot’s sound is now comprised of a diverse fusion between progressive, electro, and trance. A sound that can only be dubbed as ‘electronica’.

From tearing up dance floors under the Mediterranean sun of the White Isle, to filling out stadiums in South Africa, partying it up in the Nordic seas on a huge ocean liner, to nostalgic nights at some of the UK’s most prestigious clubs; Miss Lashes has seen more of the party than most!

When not headlining at one of Europe’s top festivals such as Global Gathering, Creamfields and Dance Valley; or playing to her adoring fans at some of the UK’s biggest domestic nights such as Godskitchen, Gatecrasher, Inside Out and Planet Love ; Lisa’s musical adventure regularly sees her packing her suitcase and touring her style to another corner of the globe.

Huge popularity of the sell-out Lashed in Ibiza parties, led to instant worldwide demand for Lisa and her Lashed brand with marathonesque tours of the parties to China, Canada, United States of America, Netherlands, Russia, Australia, New Zealand and Japan ensuing!

It wasn’t long before Lisa was officially recognised amongst the top ten DJs in the world and achieved the illustrious title of ‘The World’s Number One Female DJ’.

This title has seen endorsements by many of the world’s leading brand’s including Bench, UDG, Sennheiser, Loopmaster’s and Vestax as well as keeping in touch with the younger generations as ambassador fordance4life as well as other charity work for Pink Ribbon & Oxfam.

Away from the sparkling career behind the decks, Lisa has also enjoyed huge successes with her Euphoria albums. With sales well over 250,000 they were quickly established as the biggest selling hard dance compilations in the world.

Since the golden days of Euphoria, Lisa has diversified her sound by slowing the BPMs and incorporating uplifting and tech trance into her sets, which now sees her playing as a global headliner on the international trance scene alongside such stars as Sander van Doorn, Ferry Corsten & Marco V.

This more mature and diverse trance sound is represented by her hugely successful ‘Lashed Podcast’ and whilst still only in infancy, has already picked up over 60,000 subscribers! This sound has been incorporated into the relaunch of her Lashed events in 2010 with concise music progressing and a much more diverse line up of guests – ranging from Irish superstar John O Callaghan to Germany’s Scot Project and Dutch producer Sied Van Riel to Radio One’s Kutski!

Never one to sit back, Lisa has been hard at work in the studio pushing her new tech trance sound through with several releases already in the pipeline for 2010 on labels such as Musical Madness & Discover Dark, as well as her own record label – Lashed Music; which continues to go from strength to strength. Current and forthcoming collaborations and remixes of Lisa’s tracks include Sied van Riel, Ummet Ozcan, Artento Divini, Jordan Suckley & Gary Maguire.

Lisa’s music has picked up plays from a huge range of DJs around the world: a regular on Radio One via Judge Jules & Kutski and featured on Gareth Emery’s Podcast, along with many tracks that were quickly snapped up to albums worldwide; including Ministry of Sound, Godskitchen, Tunnel & D-Trance.

Let the party continue…

Fei Bian has reflected his passion for the electronic sound since 2003 – capturing his fascination with trance and delving into the creation of journeys.

The early days were spent experimenting with a blend of melodic and tougher sounding trance. With a risky edge, Fei Bian carved up sets that pushed the tougher spectrum of the trance genre back then, often crossing the line into another realm altogether; hard dance.

Without any reservations, he continued to push both ends of the spectrum – craving the excitement and the drive for building sets that started in one sound, and ended in a completely different domain.

As his world opened up with shows, performances and residencies in some of New Zealand’s biggest events and clubs, so to did his palate for all kinds of edgy, twisted sounds that he would lace unapologetically onto the unsuspecting dancefloor.

Opening up with soft, emotional setters from the likes of Push, Markus Schulz or Probspot – it is not uncommon at all to find him ending off his set an hour and a half later with the twisted tech blitz from the likes of Kamui, or even a touch of stomping hardstyle. How far and wide he will push within a set can be marked with the sly grin on his face as he hops flawlessly from one sound to the other… never being confined by boundaries!

Drawing from inspirations all over, he tries and tries again to conjure up new and exciting journeys that will stonewall your minds to nothing but the music!

His hunger to digest any wide array of musical sounds has sharpened his ability to stay edgy, daring and unpredictable. The only start and end he sees to any one show is his ability to hold the dancefloor in his hands all the way through.

Today, Fei Bian’s fusion of trance and hard dance has met and touched the nights of many; from his residency at Kiss Nightclub, club events such as Phobia, Fricken, Genesis, Movement etc through to massive events like Pharmacy, DV8, Deep Hard n Funky and Summadayze!

Testament to his diverse sounds are the wide array of international acts that he has been enlisted to support; Cosmic Gate, Armin van Buuren, Filo & Peri, Kan Cold (Derb), Wippenberg, Yoji Biomehanika, Scot Project, Mark Sherry, Marcel Woods, Lisa Lashes, Steve Hill, Phil York, Vandall and Uberdruck, just to name a few.

As time continues, so will Fei Bian’s passion for dishing out dancefloor mania in every way possible, at any place possible. Fei Bian never ceases to impress reaching for the right tune at the right time with seamless mixing.

Nick Collings has been a vivid part of Auckland’s dance scene for over 15 years now. He is one of the most passionate and knowledgeable deejays when it comes to the appreciation of dance music as a whole.

The quick guide to Nick Collings in 2011:

Nick Collings is somewhat of an enigma of the Auckland dance scene. Having achieved what most other people in the dance industry won’t do in a lifetime, from DJing at most of the major brands across the last 13 years, promoting some of the most diverse and niche events in both the all ages and R18 scenes, hosting 3 radio shows across various styles of dance music, having been at the forefront of music distribution for other deejays with his record store “Criminal Records” (1998 – 2008), Having releases and tracks appear within some of the bigger names and labels of the genres and now as the programme director at UP FM (www.upfm.dj).

Nick’s main focus at the moment is to help develop a great team of people to take UP FM (now in it’s 8th year) to the next level and fill the void by having big room tunes with down to earth personalities on the radio.

Nick currently hosts 2 shows on UP FM.

Backtrax – Thursday – 10am-12pm – Dance music’s radio retro show. Bringing out the vinyl

Criminal Cuts – Wednesday – 6pm-8pm – This is what Nick Collings is about as a DJ.

(Radio One Supported) SHOCK:FORCE – A name now synonymous with the hard dance scene are one of the fastest growing headliners in hard dance, having already earned main stage slots at a multitude of the UK’s biggest club events like Bionic, Goodgreef, Frantic & AWsum. They will now continue their full frontal assault on today’s scene, inflicting their forward thinking, infectious sound on the masses at some of the UK’s biggest festivals including Slammin Vinyl’s Sanctuary Outdoors, Slammin Vinyl’s Westfest & the acclaimed Atomik Weekender!

Since exploding with nuclear force onto the scene in August 2008, the fallout has already taken them to far away Australia and secured their sold out headline tour of Canada in September 2010.

Feb 2011 sees the boys packing their passport again for their 2nd headline tour of Australia and New Zealand feat. Dark By Design and Xdream, one of Australia’s leading hard dance DJ’s. March 2011 will then see the duo return to Gossip, Vancouver’s biggest nightclub, in Canada.

SHOCK:FORCE were nominated for an award in the ‘Best New Face’ category at the 2010 Hard Dance Awards, due to original tracks and remixes for every major label in the UK including Bionic Digital, Tidy, Tranzlation & AWsum Black.

Remixes have seen SHOCK:FORCE work with the likes of Phil York, Dark By Design, Alex Kidd, Kidd Kaos, Amber D, Steve Hill Vs Technikal, Kevin Energy, Proteus & Hardforze (Australia) and the boys have recently become the first ever UK artist to remix for the ‘World’s No.1 Hard Dance label’ – Showtek’s mighty Dutch Master Works imprint with a spine tingling three genre crossover remix of Dutch Master’s anthem ‘5AM’.

SHOCK:FORCE tracks have gone on to gain worldwide recognition due to countless plays on Radio One via Kutski, full support from most of the industries elite and tracks featured on major compilations worldwide including ‘International Hard Dance Sessions’, Masif Hard Dance Anthems 3, Masif Hard Trance Bootlegs 4 and also ‘Central Energy’ on ‘ Sony/Universal Records.’

The UK’s leading European music related brand ‘Bionic’ (‘Best Event’ @ 2010 Hard Dance Awards) have now signed SHOCK:FORCE to their artist roster and have also employed the boys as full time managers of all the hard trance releases on their record label ‘Bionic Digital’.

‘DHF Promotions’ in London also snapped the boys up as their new Residents after seeing their popularity soar in the capital. With all of this success in such a short period of time, even a basic list of recent successes reads like a lifetime of work.

So what’s next in the SHOCK:FORCE saga? The boys are currently writing their eagerly anticipated artist album due for release late 2011.

‘This album is the beginning of our disconnect from the uninspiring hard dance of today. We’re not interested in falling in line and intend to push all the boundaries and hope to bring the European sound back to its best days. It will be something different for sure but, we hope you will all come along for the ride.’

So there you have it, with their meteoric rise continuing at a frightening pace its no wonder that they are the name on everybody’s lips right now!

Now dubbed ‘The Future Of Hard Trance’… You’re about to witness something you’ve never heard before…. This is SHOCK:FORCE!!

It’s very rare in this day and age to find new pioneers who work hard, day and night to constantly push the boundaries of harder music. Hard Dance & Hardcore’s newest superstar & people’s favourite Kutski aptly fits this title and is without a doubt the most exciting cross over talent to emerge from the U.K scene in the past decade! His popularity within the scene recently earned him 3 prestigious awards in the 2010 hard dance awards, picking up best UK Dj in the 2010 hard dance awards, outstanding contribution to the scene and best Album for his Goodgreef Xtra hard disc!

2009 was Kutski’s busiest year to date, despite the credit crunch circumstances that hit so many industries. He performed at more UK/Ireland festivals than ever before as his summer schedule saw him play at Godskitchen’s Global Gathering, Creamfields, Parklife, Planet Love, Slammin Vinyl as well as picking up a residency for Judgement Sundays in Ibiza and continued residencies at Goodgreef & Inside Out. Kutski also stepped up his international profile with ground breaking high energy sets at the infamous Monday Bar Sweden, Ground Zero Festival in Holland, Tunnel rave in Germany, Quartz Festival in Norway and tour’s of U.S.A, Canada & Australia.

Kutski’s weekly BBC Radio 1 show has grown from strength to strength, reaching new heights. This is the first time Hard Dance & Hardcore has had a weekly format to reach new audiences and it’s an honour, but also a well deserved plaudit for a true hard working professional. The show now fills a more peak time slot over his previous monthly Radio 1 show format with a 1am to 3am schedule every Friday night/Sat morning. The show has given Kutski another outlet and opportunity to showcase his ability to combine underground beats on a commercial stage keeping his diversity as an artist and in depth knowledge of all genres of harder edged dance music.

This unique diversity and musical knowledge caused Dj Magazine to approach Kutski to become they’re newest hard dance and hardcore column writer. Now writing monthly reviews representing the harder scenes on a truly global platform, which emphasises why he is becoming a legend in the making, as well as a true ambassador for the scene, continually giving something back. Also as a legend in the making for dance music Kutski has been asked to become an ambassador for Dance4life this year.

Kutski also generously shares his technical and musical knowledge with the dance music community online via his Youtube video tutorials. Demonstrating all of the latest dj equipment hardware, software, tricks of the trade and production techniques, his tutorial’s and other videos are clocking up ten’s of thousands of hits, often getting his channel into the top 10 list of most viewed musicians on Youtube. His channel currently has over 1000 subscribers, which is no mean feat!

The success of these tutorials and mass online presence has caused many of the world’s largest manufacturers to get in touch and send in they’re latest kit or software to test out online. They include Vestax, Serato, Stanton & Akai and more recently world’s giants Pioneer, where he will join the dance music elite alongside James Zabielia, Armin Van Buuran, Carl Cox, Eddie Halliwell and Roger Sanchez in new product development. Not content with just dominating the hard dance scene, Kutski has established himself as a credible hardcore artist too which has led to him being supported by the scene’s leaders. HTID, Fantazia, Uprising, Masters of Hardcore are amongst many other hardcore promoters who request Kutski as a regular headliner for their events, with his profile outshining many hardcore artists in the scene. Kutski has mixed several commercial compilations including Bonkers & Hardcore Underground as well as producing countless anthems with Al Storm. On top of his weekly radio one show, dj magazine reviews, Youtube tutorials and full gig diary, Kutski still makes time to hit the studio with several releases under his belt, including his recent collaboration with BRK3 ‘4th Dimension’ on the legendary Detox Records and a remix of Mark Sherry & James Allan’s ‘Blood Moon’. Both topping download charts worldwide and featured on numerous compilations including Defqon One!

Kutski has also launched his own label, ‘Free Range Muzik’, set up to showcase the diversity of his sound and his love of the European flavours of dance music. His debut release ‘One’ picked up plays from hardstyle scene leaders such as The Prophet, Showtek & Zany and features a remix by Dutch Hardcore Legends’ Endymion which has been causing quite a stir already in the hardcore scene, picking up plays from Evil Activities, The Player, Nosfuratu, The Viper, Tommy Knocker, Art of Fighters and Madog.

On the album front Kutski has mixed the 2010 Hard Dance Awards Euphoria disc for Ministry Of Sound Recordings as well as having mixed two albums in 2009, Goodgreef Xtra Hard’ alongside Lisa Lashes & Showtek and Hardcore Underground alongside Brisk & Al Storm.

On a performance level his natural exuberance and awe-inspiring deck-man ship ranks him up there among the true greats. The ingredients for a superstar are all in there, the ability to mix anything with anything have left crowds confused with a general “how did he do that” look across there faces. Technical skill with cuts and loops using every beat and bar of a track keep everything about Kutski’s sets fresh and devastating to behold. Then there’s scratching……On that front he is truly unmatched on the hard scene. Prepare to be amazed and you wont be far wrong.
